Two Network Institute members receive distinctions

mei_robvander Professor Rob van der Mei (mathematics) is nominated for the Huibregtsen Prize 2014. The Huibregtsen Prize is granted for scientific research in the Netherlands that is remarkably innovative and has a high societal impact. The winner will be announced on the Evening of Science&  Society, 6 October, in the Ridderzaal in The Hague. Sander Dekker, State Secretary of Education, Culture and Science, will award the prize.
Frank van Harmelen Professor Frank van Harmelen has been admitted as member of the Academia Europaea (the Academy of Europe). The Academia Euroaea has around 3000 members which are are leading experts from the physical sciences and technology, biological sciences and medicine, mathematics, the letters and humanities, social and cognitive sciences, economics and the law.  Membership is intended for the top 5% researchers in each field.
