The Metaphor Lab Amsterdam, headed by Prof. Gerard van Steen is now established as a formal affiliation of the Network Institute. All Metaphor Lab members will be members of the Network Institute, with the same rights and duties and access to facilities. This is especially important in connection with technical support for VisMet by Network Institute Tech Labs director Marco Otte.
