The research institute for Culture, Cognitive, History and Heritage (CLUE+) and the Network Institute are proud of being the foundational institutes of the “Connected World” profile theme. As part of this initiative, we are presenting a new book about the Connected World on 21st September from 4-5pm, followed by drinks (VU’s Kerkzaal: HG-16A00).
This book is authored by 100 Vrije Universiteit academics who give insights on how to build genuine bonds in our world which is more digitally connected than ever before, yet where true social cohesion is becoming scarcer. See more here.
Program:
- Two co-authors (Sietske Sikkes and Giulia Ranzini) will read their contribution
- Faculty of Humanities (FGW) Dean Susan Legene will officially present the book to Rector Magnificus Jeroen Geurts
- Gaya Yona will sing
- Journalist, podcaster, and TV maker Doortje Smithuijsen will give her view on the VU’s Connected World theme as presented in the book
