We are excited to invite you to the HumanCLAIM 2024 Workshop (see last year’s successful edition here), a one-day conference dedicated to the exploration of cognitively motivated cross-lingual language models.
- When: January 11, 2024 (9:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Where: 3D@VU (find it using this guide), Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam
The workshop will offer a platform for in-depth discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration opportunities in this area.
Agenda Highlights:
- Invited Speakers: Experts in the field will deliver keynote presentations, offering their unique perspectives and insights.
- Keynote by Arianna Bisazza: on her VIDI project to improve language modelling for (low-resource) morphologically rich languages, taking inspiration from child language acquisition
- In-depth Topic Exploration: This year, we will delve deeper into linguistic representation units in cross-lingual models (i.e. cross-lingual subwords).
- Poster Session: Like last year, attendees will have the chance to present and receive feedback on their research findings through poster presentations. You can indicate that you have work (this can certainly be finished or in progress) on cross-lingual models that you’d like to share, in the registration form below.
- Valuable Networking: Reconnect with peers and engage with new scholars in our field.
