Tech Labs VU & UvA

The Tech Labs consist of several different high-tech laboratories on the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam Campus and the UvA Science Park all working together making it easy to find exactly what you need. The Tech Labs facilitate any kind of research that focuses on the use and effects of technology by and on humans. For that these locations offer any type space you need. From a large open and flexible room, to a high-tech high-profile environment to one person cubicles. Then there’s the equipment to match. Ranging from simple computers to heavy workstations, from large projection screens to head-mounted-displays, from sensors to recording equipment, from onscreen avatars to real-life robots. And of course the software tools you need to make it all work. If it’s not available in the Tech Labs, we’ll try to build it ourselves or try to find the correct supplier so you can conduct your research in the way you want it. If you are not so tech-savvy, don’t worry. The Tech Labs also offer Full Support, our people will always be available to think along, build custom hard- and software, help setting up your experiment, take care of third parties, etc. Want to know more?
