Visiting researcher dr. Lianying Zhao

Guest Researcher Lianying Zhao (Associate Professor from Carleton University) hosted the Network Institute’s monthly Research Lunch on September 25th, and gave a talk on his research as well as his collaboration here. The meeting was chaired by Lea Krause and attended by dozens of colleagues from AI, security, and software engineering. Along with a nice lunch we enjoyed listening to dr. Zhao’s talk on Living with Packers to Enable Dynamic Analysis of Android Apps. We thank him for providing us with some food for thought!

Dr. Zhao works on cybersecurity (systems/hardware/platform security) primarily including authentication, data protection and user factors. He will be in Amsterdam for the upcoming 4 weeks and is open to any research discussions.
