Thursday 29 January, 14:00 – 17:30 at the Waag, Anatomical Theatre
How do we move towards a more inclusive and sustainable city where the technology we adopt is under our own collective control? What is needed to make progress on that journey and what is the role of academia, governments, societal organisations and private companies?
All VU researchers are invited to participate to an event on the Digital Autonomy in Amsterdam at the Waag at the heart of our city. Participation is free, and the lineup of speakers is fantastic: from Marleen Stikker (Waag) to VU professors, representatives of the Amsterdam municipality, and several IT professionals.
This event is organised as a Waag Futurelab / Vrije Universiteit collaboration in the context of the VU Connected World Research Fellow Sander van der Waal. In the course of 2025 Sander has further refined the Public Stack model as part of his fellowship. This event will showcase some of the main learnings that are also included in Waag’s new Research Agenda 2025 – 2028.
VU researchers can register for free, using the code CONNECTEDWORLD. Please register here.
