The Network Institute organized a summer school fully dedicated to the usage of Generative AI in academia.

The summer school is being held at the Social, Economic, and Organisational Psychology department of Leiden University, who are kindly hosting us for the whole week and supporting the school, thank you!
The first day of the school just passed, and we are all very energised by the already very good discussions emerging from the school!
The school is being given by a great line-up of researchers coming from different disciplines and (primarily VU) departments like Computer Science, Humanities, etc.
For the interested ones, here is an overview of the school:
– L1: Intro to the course + Gen AI fundamentals
– L2: Gen AI architectures and mechanisms
– L3: Gen AI for information seeking and ideas generation & framing
– L5: Gen AI for data cleaning, generation, and analysis
– L4: Training paradigms and evaluation of Gen AI models
– L6: Gen AI infrastructure and datacenters
– L7: Gen AI in research
– L8: Ethical aspects of gen AI in academia
On top of those (very interesting) lectures, we also have hands-on sessions via our Nebula platform and several chances for debate/reflections.
Our plan is to organize multiple editions of the school, so please get in touch with us if you want to host a similar school in your university!
