Greetings everyone! This is Lara Baseggio and Radu Nicolae joining the Networking Institute as technology developers for the following year. We are excited to embark in this journey and be part of the multidisciplinary research hub, hosted here, at the Network Institute.
Lara is a 2nd year BSc. Computer Science student at VU Amsterdam, with cum laude grades, eager to broaden her expertise and dive into the Econometrics field. Alongside her studies, she is an assistant for several courses, helping her peers understand the fundamentals of Computer Science.
Radu is a 3rd year BSc. Computer Science student at VU Amsterdam, with research focus on massivizing computer systems and the ICT infrastructure, as part of atLarge Research group. Radu is coordinating several courses in the Bachelor of Computer Science at the VU and is part of the honors program, with cum laude grades.
This year, together with Ivano Malavolta and Marco Otte, we are proposing new initiatives with ambitious goals. One such initiative is Code for Humanity, oriented towards helping humanitarian projects to build, develop, launch, and expand. We are currently laying the foundation for this project; more details can be found on our GitHub page. We are planning to large-scale this project and increase its popularity by turning it into a volunteering hub. In this place, students and graduates can volunteer and turn the digital world into a better place, guided by kindness, humanity, and freedom.
We are looking forward to building next big things together.
