Code for humanity is a humanitarian initiative, powered by the Network Institute, led by Lara Baseggio and Radu Nicolae, with the assistance of Ivano Malavolta and Marco Otte.
Our primary mission is to support humanitarian software projects in their development and launch, enabling them to fulfill their purpose. We aim to create a platform where developers can share ideas, find inspiration, and receive feedback on potential improvements, such as new features or bug fixes.
On a large scale, this platform will serve as a hub where people can find inspiration for their own projects, give contributions, and connect with developers for future initiatives. In a world full of challenges, many projects have been created to address these issues, but they often fall short of a full implementation or fail to receive the recognition they deserve. Our goal is to change that, by supporting them into making a real impact.
As an initial step towards our final goal, we will carefully select a few humanitarian, open-source projects repositories on GitHub, that we believe deserve our attention and could use our technical support.
If you are interested in learning more about this initiative, or possible contribute to it yourself by sharing a project you have been working on, please find more information on our GitHub page.
