The Network Institute invites its members and all VU students and staff to apply for the ECHO Academy Programme (https://echoeurope.eu/how-to-apply). The deadline is Sunday 22nd October.
Starting in November 2024, ECHO kicks off its Academy in Amsterdam at Nxt Museum, bringing together young creatives and thinkers from across Europe to explore the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and digitization.
The Academy Programme
This exciting program offers a unique opportunity for a selected group of 15 participants aged 18-30 from diverse disciplines. Over the course of approximately 12 weeks, participants will engage in workshops and activities led by renowned artists, campaign experts, and industry leaders, all aimed at inspiring the creation of innovative campaigns.
Participants will collaborate in teams to design and launch their own campaigns around the theme of AI and digitization. The program provides hands-on training in campaign creation and implementation, empowering participants to tackle critical issues such as AI-driven misinformation, deepfake technology, bias in AI models (race, gender, physical differences), and surveillance capitalism. The aim is to foster creative solutions that protect our fundamental rights and safeguard democracy.
What you will receive by ECHO & the Network Institute
The Network Institute is proud to support this initiative and encourages its members to apply. Accepted projects will not only receive the ECHO Academy package, but also an additional €1,000 in funding, access to our labs and physical workspace, and ongoing support throughout the program.
