Research Lunch – 28th Novemeber

The Network Institute is honoured to have hosted such an engaging and enjoyable event with two incredible speakers.

Thank you to both our visiting researchers, who participated in today’s event:

  • Dr. Anaïs Augé from Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium
  • Dr. Joanna Ut Seong Sio from Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic

This event is part of their research visits, hosted by Dr. Gudrun Reijnierse and Dr. Luís de Passos Morgado da Costa respectively, and facilitated by the Network Institute’s research visit program.

What did we discuss?

  • Dr. Anaïs Augé shared her fascinating research on “How the public uses, accepts, and resists metaphors shaping online discussions about climate technologies.”
  • Dr. Joanna Ut Seong Sio delivered a captivating talk on “Improvisation Comedy and AI.”

Both talks sparked meaningful conversations and highlighted the exciting intersections of language, and technology.

Thank you again to Dr. Augé and Dr. Sio for sharing their time, knowledge, and passion with us. Your research and contributions made this session truly pleasant.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the next Research Lunch!
