On June 1, the cities of Amsterdam and Beijing will jointly co-host the 2nd Sino-Dutch Forum on Smart City. The Network Institute is one of the organising partners for this event.
The theme of “Smart Cities” is rapidly becoming a focus for interdisciplinary collaboration between computer scientists, social scientists, healthcare scientists, economists and others.
The EU Horizon2020 programme identifies this as a key theme.
China is a strategic partner in this field, with its large and rapidly expanding cities.
The day is an opportunity for Dutch researchers to present their work to a Chinese delegation of leading scientists and government officials, and to participate in a day of presentations on Smart City research in both China/Bejing and The Netherlands/Amsterdam.
