Design the Web of the Future: MozFest 2024

The Firefox Product team warmly invites students to attend Mozilla Festival House 2024! Mozilla Festival is a unique hybrid: part art, tech, and society convening, part maker festival, and the premiere gathering for activists in diverse global movements fighting for a more humane digital world. Our mission is to make the internet a better, safer, and fairer place for everyone, and now more than ever, your voice is crucial. You will be the leaders of our digital future.

As part of this year’s program, the Firefox team is sharing a special ticket to the first 20-30 members of the local student body who sign up with this link. This ticket is free (or pay as you wish if you support the cause!), and it will allow you full admission to all three days of the festival and its events. Join us in a participatory brainstorm, where we explore ways we can tackle a couple of issues we face online today and design potential solutions to address these problems.

Sample Topics

  • ·         How can we manage our relationship with AI? 
  • ·         What do you feel are some risks and problems with social media?

We will walk you through a basic product design workshop where we explore the problem in small groups, identify opportunities, design potential solutions, and collaborate in a larger shareout. With your permission, we would like to shout out our student workshop participants in our Firefox social media channels.

After our brainstorm, grab a cup of coffee, tea, or water, and come join the Firefox Product Team for an information session. You can get exclusive first looks at some of the features we plan to ship in Firefox, and we can answer your questions about the tech industry, networking, and career development.
