1) Keynote by two young Digital Society researchers: Mariken van der Velden and Marijn Hoijtink: Digital Democracy How digital technologies transform democratic decision-making processes Digital technologies have changed both national and international politics. Mariken van der Velden focuses on how digital technologies have changed national political decision-making. Marijn Hoijtink explores how these technologies have changed warfare in international politics.

2) Pitches and posters by our 2018-19’s Academy Assistants: Hear about the great research the Network Institute assistants have been doing. Accompanied by drinks and bites.

3) Announcement of next year’s NI Academy Assistant projects: Applied for NIAA funding? Final decisions will be announced!

4) Radical grassroot funding: Join up with other attendees an acquire research/seed funding on the spot (see small print below)
