Grant for new research project on green software

Lago_patriciaPatricia Lago, leader of the Software and Services (S2) research group, has been awarded a research grant to carry out research on making software work in a more energy efficient manner in ‘greener’ data centers.
The project is funded by EFRO (Europees Fonds voor Regionale Ontwikkeling) under the umbrella of the Amsterdam Economic Board. S2 will collaborate with the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA), University of Amsterdam (UvA), SURFsara, GreenIT Amsterdam and industrial partners (SIG, Schuberg Philis and Equinix).
